Design a New Business Model:
While Business Process Reengineering has its place and can be pivotal in improving performance, at times the best solution is a fundamental change to the underlying “business model”—by that we mean the overall context or assumptions under which a system operates.  For example, an organization may be called to reengineer a process, but what may be truly needed is an exploration of how that process interrelates to the organizations others processes to produce outcomes.  Such exploration may lead to a new “business model” or way of thinking about an organizations related business processes.
